| Stop Foreclosure Now! |
 |
The possibility of losing your home to
foreclosure is terrifying. Scam artists are
preying on the vulnerability of desperate
homeowners by using half truths and outright
lies to sell
services that promise relief. Then they fail to
deliver.
The scam artists use simple and
straight-forward messages like the headline
of this article: "Stop Foreclosure Now!"
Once they have your attention, they use a
variety of tactics to get your money.
Learn about the scams to protect yourself,
your family, or friends. And see what
legitimate help distressed homeowners can get.

| Top 10 Things Customers Don't Want to Hear |
 |
Your best customer service policies are
useless if your staff says the wrong thing a
key moment.
Our personal least favorite opening sales
line is, "I'm surprised you haven't heard
about us." And, that word bomb is also at
the top of the no-no list put together by
customer service coach
Bill Lampton.
Why does Bill hate this line (and 9 others)?
What should your staff say instead?

| Robo Calls Must Stop Tomorrow |
 |
New regulations by the Federal Trade
Commission will prohibit most commercial
telemarketers from making those annoying
pre-recorded telemarketing calls to consumers
- whether or not they have signed up for the
Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not
Call Registry.
The FTC regulations, which go in effect
tomorrow (September 1), say that
telemarketers can't make pre-recorded calls
to anyone, even if they have done business
with the person, unless they have received
written permission from the customer.
