  • Customer Satisfaction in 7 Steps
Meet Your Clients Face to Face

Does your business have a clearly-defined customer service policy? If not, how do your clients know who to call or what to expect? How does your staff know what they are expected to do for an unhappy customer?

Writing customer service policies is just one of the 7 keys to earning customer satisfaction.

    Microsoft Discontinues Money
    Quicken promotion

Last month Microsoft stopped selling its personal financial software program, Microsoft Money. It announced that it will discontinue support for the product after June, 2011, according to c/net news.

If you're a user of Money, there's no need to panic or buy a replacement. The program will continue to operate on your computer, although there will be no new versions.

Of course, Intuit, the makers of Quicken, has stepped in to take advantage of Microsoft's retreat. They are offering special discounts on Quicken through the end of July (that's tomorrow!).

If you own an older version of Money and were thinking about upgrading, check out Quicken. Switch now and take advantage of the extra incentives.

    Communicating Quality to Customers
Jim Stein of American Ratings Corporation

Communicating with your existing clients can be tricky, says customer satisfaction expert Jim Stein (pictured at left). At a minimum you want to give them valuable information, and you need to be careful that discounts don't impact your image of quality.

Jim knows what keeps customers happy. He's the President of American Ratings Corporation, the firm that runs the Diamond Certified program.

Listen to this quick clip to get more of Jim's insights on what to say to your existing clients.

Will Swine Flu Make Your Company Sick?
    Geoffrey Kulik, CPA

Swine Flu was constantly in the news in April, but the flu has ebbed in summer's milder weather, the clamor has calmed, and the media's attention has wandered.

But health experts say that flu can roar back in a second wave that is more powerful that the initial onslaught. Infamous epidemics of the past century have occurred on this second strike.

Moreover, a severe flu epidemic is not only a personal and public health issue. Flu is a business survival issue.

Your disaster plans need to include a steps to take if this flu -- or the one that comes next year or the year after that -- turns out to be the one that disrupts your business, your suppliers, and your customers.

The Swine Flu is most likely not going worsen or effect your business. But, smart business owners worry intelligently anyway. And they make plans.
