  • Your Mileage Rate is Going Up

You're not the only one who's noticed that driving your car costs more when gasoline is approaching $5 a gallon.

Starting tomorrow, the IRS bumps the standard mileage rates to 58.5 cents a mile for all business miles. This is about 16% higher than the 50.5 cents a mile rate that's been in effect since January 1st.

The new rate, announced last week, is approximately 20% higher than the 2007 business mileage rate of 48.5 cents per mile.

    Equal Time for Senator McCain

Rumors about Senator John McCain have reached Top 10 status on Snopes, the urban legend reference site. Finally!

Earlier this year we shared the facts behind rumors concerning Senators Obama and Clinton. Obama is still the #1 topic, but McCain stories have shot up to #4.

"I believe my party has gone astray. I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have no problems with it, in their views, and their philosophy."

    — John McCain?

Slow Economy? Your Product is More Valuable!

Consumers and other business owners are looking for ways to stretch their dollars. Many cannot afford "nice to have"s and are focused on essentials.

Essentials like your products and services.

Are you selling premium deli meats?

Do your customers know that by making their lunch with them they save $1,000 a year --- $4,000 for a family of four -- of the cost of fast-food lunches?
