| Your Mileage Rate is Going Up |
 |
You're not the only one who's noticed that
driving your car costs more when gasoline is
approaching $5 a gallon.
Starting tomorrow, the IRS bumps the standard
mileage rates to 58.5 cents a mile for all
business miles. This is about 16% higher than
the 50.5 cents a mile rate that's been in
effect since January 1st.
The new rate, announced last week, is
approximately 20% higher than the
2007 business mileage rate of 48.5 cents
per mile.
