  • Why this Year Mom and Dad Should File Taxes

A lot of people who are not legally required to file a tax return should submit a form this year. Your retired parents may be two of the people who need to send in their taxes!

Even people with no tax liability are eligible to receive $300 from the Federal government as part of the economic stimulus package. They claim the refund by filing a Form 1040A with the Internal Revenue Service.

Check with Mom and Dad. See if they need to file taxes this year to collect $600 from their Uncle Sam.
